WOODLAND MANAGEMENT DAYS @ KETT'S PARK WOOD & LIZARD MEADOWS

Greening Wymondham and the Norwich Fringe Project but have been holding woodland management days at Kett’s Park Woods for several years now.  This year we also have a new volunteering opportunity at the Lizard working with the Lizard Charity.

KETT'S PARK WOOD

Greening Wymondham and the Norwich Fringe Project will holding a series of woodland management days in Kett's Park Wood between October and March.  There will be tasks for all abilities and the chance to gain some woodland management skills. 

 

The days are all Tuesdays starting at 9.30am and although we generally finish about 3pm.  There is no expectation for anyone to stay all day; any time will be gratefully received. The dates are as follows:

Dates for 2022/23 as follows:  Oct 11th; Nov 8th; Dec 6th; Jan 10th; Feb 7th; March 7th.

Normal meeting place at the start of the woodland path, nearest to Burdock Close.  Parking in the Community Centre off Harts Farm Road, NR18 0UR.

 

Bring a pair of gloves; any other necessary Personal Protective Equipment needed for the woodland management tasks will be provided.

 

So if you enjoy getting out in the fresh air and contributing to the community by improving the woodland and encouraging biodiversity come and give us a look.

THE LIZARD MEADOWS

We have a new exciting volunteering opportunity at the Lizard where we will be assisting the Lizard Charity with the management of the Meadows.  The work will be lead by Matt Davies of the Norwich Fringe Project and tasks will include hedge planting and laying and general meadow and wood management tasks.  There will be tasks for all abilities and the chance to gain some meadow and woodland management skills. 

 

The days are all Tuesdays starting at 9.30am and although the finish time is about 3pm there is no expectation for anyone to stay all day, any time will be gratefully received.  The dates are as follows:

Dates for 2022/23 as follows:  Oct 18th; Nov 15th; Dec 13th; Jan 17th; Feb 21st; March 14th.

The meeting place is at the black gates at the end of the Lizard road.  Parking is on the Lizard, Postcode NR18 9BH

Bring a pair of gloves, any other necessary PPE Matt will provide.
