TREE MAPPING
Greening Wymondham have set out to map and measure all the trees in Wymondham. It’s an ambitious plan and we’d like YOU to join us!

So, why are we doing this?

We have limited information abut the trees in Wymondham at present and little information is available to the public in an easily accessible way. To look after our trees properly, we need to know what species are planted where, how many there are and what size they are. From this information we can work out how much carbon dioxide they take up and store, how much water they take in and how much they reduce air pollution: all very important things for our environment.

How can I get involved?

We’d like you to help us by using the Treezilla app (see download links below) to mark on the map where the trees are located and all the other basic information. If you’re not sure how to identify trees, you can use resources from the Treezilla website to help you with that and also how to measure the tree.

We will add some more helpful tips to this page soon, so do come back to see more information or get in touch with us for more information.

The map below is for the whole of the UK (as it is a countrywide initiative), but you can zoom into Wymondham and see trees that have already been added.

It would be great if you got in touch too, to say that you’re getting involved.

Good luck and have fun! 🌳
