LOCAL GROUPS

Greening Wymondham is just one of the local organisations that are working to help the our environment.  Below are details of some of the other groups.  Click the logos for more details of each group.

The Wymondham Nature Group (WyNG) is the local members group of Norfolk Wildlife Trust and is involved in informing and educating the public about wildlife conservation and biodiversity.  We hold nine illustrated talks a year on subjects covering all aspects of wildlife and wild places. We also run two practical conservation groups and organise walks to see and enjoy local wildlife.  Everyone is welcome to join us!

Toadwatch was started in 2004 - initially to help amphibians in Bowthorpe and Little Melton to the west of Norwich in the United Kingdom.  Unfortunately the growth in housing has led to the demise of the Bowthorpe toads and there is no longer a patrol there.  Since 2004 we have helped many other people to set up patrols to save their local toads, including in Wymondham and the surrounding area.

“Wymondham: A Hedgehog Haven” is a project to support Hedgehogs by forging links with other community groups and individuals who care about Hedgehogs.  The project is a joint initiative between Wymondham in Bloom & Greening Wymondham.
